Week-end workshop on the principles of the Alexander Technique

This workshops will give you the opportunity to become aware of the practical implications of the principles of the Alexander Technique in your everyday and professional life in relation to movement, stress, pain and habitual reactions.
You will be explained the principles and procedures of conscious control of the Alexander Technique.
You will be confronted to habitual tensions in your body in various movements and situations.
You will be able to bring your musical instrument or other object you want to to improve your use in handling it.
Four dimensions will be explored :
- elementary notions of practical anatomy
- introduction to awareness and control of habitual reactions in our body
- learning the Alexander Technique active resting position.
- learning to bring your breathing to a physiological state
By the end of the second day, you will go home with at least some insights about how you create unnecessary tension and interfere with your natural coordination.
And will have learned how to pause and allow yourself to come back to a better state to continue whatever you were doing at that moment.
Ne previous experience necessary.
Please wear comfortable clothes which do not impede movement and come floor socks or shoes.
8 participants maximum
Both days, from 10.30am to 5pm
Lunch time from 1to 2pm
