AND ITS APPLICATIONS

The Alexander Technique is a method
for learning not to lose control, not to be victim of
habits and to be at his best in any situation.
As we are ourselves the first instrument we use in anything
we are doing, the quality of the use of ourselves will
be of primary importance in whatever we will be doing.
We have the choice to apply or not a conscious use of
ourselves in what we are doing. In whatever we are doing,
because the Alexander Technique can be applied to any
human activity.
We really have the choice to act or to react in a habitual
way, without any further thought, what is understandable
if we trust ourselves enough, or to put into question
our way of doing or reacting. If we want to do so, the
Alexander Technique is a unique method of self reeducation.
In any activity or behavior that we will want to improve
of change, we will have to learn to stop, to suspend
any desire, thought or habitual reaction in order to
be able to redirect our attention, our movements and
our energy in a more satisfactory way. And finally learn
to accept how that new way of doing will feel and what
new it will involve.
Bit by bit, the association of the new use of ourselves
in the new way of doing or reacting will become more
and more familiar and easier to accept, easier to trigger
and even more desirable than the harmful but so powerful
old habits.
The new way of using ourselves will become a second
nature and associate with a better control, more efficiency
and a better functioning of the organism in general.
